The name of Khayyam Neyshaburi is associated with mathematics, astronomy, and quatrains. But what connects Khayyam to the hearts of people around the world is his humanitarian thoughts and his profound view of human life.
Khayyam thought existed beyond his time. In a time when many religious, social, and political constraints prevailed, he introduced man through the language of poetry as free, wise, and in search of real concepts. his Quatrains is invitation towards awakening, thought and living in the moment. He saw man not as an instrument of power, but as the center of meaning. Today we live in a world that, despite all its scientific and technological advances, still faces fundamental human questions, such as: Where did we come from? Where are we going? Does life have meaning? What is truth? One of those who has answered them in simple and profound language is actually Khayyam, who reminds us that:
Let us understand the present. Let us choose wisdom and questioning over ignorance, prejudice, and determinism. And in the face of the anxiety of death, let us fill life with love, friendship, and meaning. Khayyam’s quatrains are a silent and wise protest against imposed emptiness and also an invitation to find meaning in these short moments of life.
