Tehran Adorned with Quaid-e-Azam’s Images: A Commemorative Event on His Birth Anniversary Organized by ECI
The city of Tehran came alive with vibrant posters displayed at prominent locations, celebrating the legacy of Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah. These visuals not only highlighted his remarkable leadership and message of unity and freedom but also set the stage for a significant event held at the ECO Cultural Institute (ECI).
The event, titled “Quaid-e-Azam: Guiding the Muslims towards Freedom and Unity,” was organized by the Tehran-based ECO Cultural Institute (ECI), the cultural specialized agency of the ten-member Economic Cooperation Organization, in collaboration with the Urdu Language Student Union in Iran.
In his remarks, H.E. Dr. Saad S. Khan, President of ECI, a historian himself and the author of many books on Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah, highlighted Jinnah’s visionary leadership and his pivotal role in guiding the Muslim community toward freedom and unity. Dr. Khan also quoted Supreme Leader Ayatollah Khamenei’s praise for Quaid-e-Azam, emphasizing his enduring legacy as a leader of faith and determination.
The event was graced by a distinguished lineup of guests, including the Chief Guest, Ms. Ismat Hassan Sial, Deputy Head of Mission at the Embassy of Pakistan in Tehran; H.E. Seydou Zataou Aly, Ambassador of Niger to Tehran; First Secretary to the Embassy of Tajikistan, Mr. Alisher Azimsoda; Dr. Zahid Munir Amir, Head of the Urdu and Pakistan Studies Chair at the University of Tehran; Dr. Ali Bayat, Associate Professor at the University of Tehran; Dr. Ali Kavousi Nejad, Assistant Professor at the University of Tehran; Dr. Rashid Naqvi; and Mr. Hasan Naqvi. Their presence underscored the significance of the occasion.
Highlights of the event included a patriotic song dedicated to Quaid-e-Azam that stirred emotions of national pride, a documentary on Allama Muhammad Iqbal, highlighting his profound influence on Pakistan and the wider Muslim world and an array of traditional Pakistani food served during refreshments, offering a taste of Pakistan’s rich culinary heritage
The celebration left the attendees inspired by Quaid-e-Azam’s timeless legacy and his guiding principles of unity, faith, and discipline.
