The ECO Cultural Institute (ECI) hosted a vibrant celebration of Afghanistan’s rich cultural heritage and the upcoming New Year 2025 on December 30, 2024, at its Diplomatic Conference Hall.
On Monday, December 30, 2024, the ECO Cultural Institute (ECI) organized Afghanistan’s 2nd Cultural Night and New Year Celebration 2025 at the Diplomatic Conference Hall. The event featured an array of cultural performances and exhibitions, underscoring the richness of Afghanistan’s traditions.
Dr. Saad S. Khan, President of the ECI, and renowned Iranian calligrapher Mr. Yadullah Kabuli Khansari delivered insightful speeches, celebrating the significance of Afghan culture in the contemporary world.
The evening was enlivened by performances from celebrated Afghan musicians, including Ali Daryab Bandari, Habib Mansori, and Nesar Ahmad Delahang, who played traditional Afghan music. The event also showcased the talents of renowned Afghan poets, such as Dr. Mohsen Saeedi, Ehsan Badakhshani, Zahra Husain Zada, and Zahra Zahedi, who recited evocative poetry.
A special highlight was the inauguration of a calligraphy exhibition by acclaimed artist Mohammad Hossain Ahmadi. Additionally, local artists displayed their exquisite handcrafted works, providing guests a unique opportunity to appreciate Afghanistan’s rich tradition of craftsmanship.
