Photo Exhibition of Pakistani Photographer opened at the ECI

The opening ceremony of the photo exhibition “Bridging Cultures”, aiming to promote tourism in Pakistan and Iran was held at the ECO Cultural Institute Headquarters on May 13, 2024.

According to the ECI media department, the exhibition showcased 60 photos by Mr. Muzammil Hussain Toori, a prominent Pakistani artist

“During the event, several distinguished speakers addressed the audience. Dr. Gholamali Haddad Adel President of the Saadi Foundation, Mr. Muhammad Mudassar Tipu, Ambassador of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan, and, delivered insightful speeches. Additionally, a video of Aftab Rana, Director of Pakistan Tourism Development Corporation, was broadcast. The cultural significance of events and ethnic rituals in promoting tourism, along with the tourism capabilities of ECO region countries, were key topics discussed by the speakers during this memorable ceremony. Furthermore, Mr. Ahmad Shahriar, a Pakistani poet, captivated the audience by reciting a beautiful poem.

The inaugural speaker at the art event was Dr. Saad S. Khan, President of the ECO Cultural Institute. In his opening remarks, he warmly welcomed the guests and eloquently highlighted the intricate interplay between tourism, culture, and various art forms. Dr. Khan emphasized the pivotal role that artists play in enhancing and promoting tourist attractions.

The exhibition, which will run for a week excluding Friday and Saturday, aims to showcase the cultural ties between Pakistan and Iran in the tourism sector, offering an enlightening experience for those intrigued by these cultural nuances.
