In this tournament, the Chinese team won 8 gold, 6 silver and 2 bronze medals. The Japanese team became the runner-up with 4 golds, 4 silvers and a bronze, the Kazakh team stood on the third platform with 4 golds, 2 silvers and 6 bronzes, and the Iranian national team came fourth with 3 golds, 6 silvers and 7 bronzes.
At the end of this event, during a ceremony, the president of the Asian Athletics Confederation, Dehlan Al-Hamd, received the confederation flag from Mehdi Mobini, head of the Iranian Athletics Federation, and presented it to the representative of China as the host of the next round of these competitions (the twelfth edition).
