Negaarineh Khat course progresses to a stage of more intricate illustration
The ECI Library once again welcomed enthusiasts of Negaarineh Khat calligraphy course, including masters and students from the Calligraphy Association of Iran, on Thursday, July 25, 2024, coinciding with the Muharram days.

As reported by ECI, the seventh session of the eight-part calligraphy course commenced with hands-on participation. Building on the previous week’s training, the course continued its exercises, utilizing suitable colors based on the exercise’s theme and focusing on quality.

The primary focus of the seventh session was transitioning from the stage of visualizing regular geometric forms such as triangles, circles, and ovals, to visualizing more complex shapes with natural curves and angles, akin to a leaf’s image.

Under the supervision of Master Abbas Rahimi, the originator of this calligraphy style, this session, like its predecessors, emphasized content design and technique application to foster creativity, overcome obstacles in color quantity and quality, and ensure correct word and letter placement for shaping.

It should be noted that the Course will continue to be held every Thursday from 10:30 to 13:00 at the ECI Library.
