ECI President Explores the Rich Cultural Heritage at National Museum of Tajikistan
Dr. Saad S. Khan, the ECI President, embarked on a visit to Tajikistan on August 5, 2024, to foster cultural ties and collaboration between the Republic of Tajikistan and the ECI.

As part of his visit, Dr. Khan met with Mr. Zafarsho Ibrohimzoda, the Director of the National Museum of Tajikistan, at the museum in Dushanbe.
During their meeting, Dr. Khan and Mr. Ibrohimzoda engaged in an insightful discussion about the preservation and promotion of Tajikistan's diverse cultural heritage. They also explored potential avenues for cooperation between the ECI and the National Museum. As a member state of the ECI, Tajikistan holds significant cultural treasures that can further enrich the shared cultural tapestry of the ECO region.
In a significant proposal, the ECI President suggested that the National Museum of Tajikistan could host the meeting of the Heads of National Museums of ECO member states. This initiative aims to foster greater collaboration and exchange of ideas among the museums within the ECO region.
Furthermore, Dr. Khan proposed the idea of organizing a traveling exhibition of artifacts that would journey across the ECO member states. This exhibition would showcase the rich cultural heritage of Tajikistan and other member states, promoting greater cultural understanding and appreciation among the diverse populations of the region.
The Director of the National Museum of Tajikistan warmly welcomed the proposals put forth by the ECI President during their meeting.
As part of their visit, the ECI delegation toured various exhibits within the museum, gaining valuable insight into Tajikistan's artistic contributions and historical narratives.
