ECI President Strengthens Cultural Ties During Ankara Visit
President of ECI, H.E. Saad Khan paid a visit to Ankara on 19-21 August 2024 and held meetings with officials from Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Ministry of Culture and Tourism, Turkish National Commission for UNESCO, Yunus Emre Institute, Atatürk Supreme Council for Culture, Language and History, and ECO Educational Institute.
The discussions focused on enhancing cultural interaction within the framework of the Economic Cooperation Organization and fostering cooperation through cultural diplomacy in the region. The parties agreed on supporting and ensuring the sustainability of cultural projects in the region.
Additionally, they emphasized strengthening language teaching and student exchange programs between the member states. Dr. Saad Khan, stating his pleasure of Türkiye’s membership to ECI, expressed his willingness to work on joint projects aimed at deepening cultural ties with Türkiye.
