Ms. Gaukhar Omarkhanova, a translator and representative of Kazakhstan’s cultural society, presented a book of Abai’s poems in English to Dr. Saad Khan, the President of the ECI, during their meeting on September 5, 2024, at the ECI Institute.
In the discussion, Mr. Khan addressed various topics related to the joint cooperation between the Republic of Kazakhstan and ECI in the year 2024. These included the launching of the book “Laily and Majnoon” by Shah Karim Khodaibardi and the Commemoration Ceremony of Abai. Both parties expressed hope for increased collaboration in the coming years, particularly in organizing cultural events encompassing art, literature, and history.
It is noteworthy that Abai’s book, which spans 152 pages, was translated into English and published in Kazakhstan in 2017.
