On September 17, 2024, Dr. Saad S. Khan met with Dr. Abbas Mohammadnejad, the Director General of International Affairs of Iran Radio and Television Organization.
During this friendly meeting, both sides considered the establishment of the Union of Heads of ECO Radio and Television as a very important step toward accurate and direct coverage of cultural news in the ECO region. They exchanged ideas about the planning, consulting, and follow-up for the establishment of this Union.
In this meeting, Dr. Khan emphasized the major role of the media in the development of international cultural relations. He stated that media can provide a suitable platform to introduce the customs, traditions, and rituals of the countries and expressed hope that the establishment of the Union of Heads of ECO Radio and Television would turn all threats in the field of media into opportunities.
Dr. Abbas Mohammadnejad supported the proposed issues and outlined priorities for collaboration. He noted, "This Union has the potential to positively influence public opinion throughout all ECO member countries." He also expressed his enthusiasm for working together to strengthen and enrich cultural relations.
