On Monday, September 23, 2024, the ECO Cultural Institute hosted the Third Literary event of Mash’al- I Urdu series at the ECI, attended by special guests, Urdu literature professors, and Pakistani students. The event featured the launch of the book "Whoever Loves Lahore."

Dr. Saad Khan, President ECI, opened the meeting with a speech emphasizing the importance of literary and poetic gatherings in Urdu for today’s youth, who may feel disconnected from literature and poetry. He stated, “Holding such meetings is vital, as it nurtures a passion for literature and poetry among young people.”
The special guest of the event was Dr. Fakhr Abbas, a renowned Pakistani satirical poet, who entertained the audience with humorous poems during the interludes of the session.

Mr. Mobasher Hassan Kazemi, an Urdu translator and cultural expert at the ECI, served as the moderator, collaborating with Mr. Hassan Reza Naghavi, Dr. Rashed Naghavi, and Dr. Vafa Yazdonmanesh to facilitate the event.
During the event, the book "Whoever Loves Lahore" by Fakhr Abbas was reviewed and officially launched. This 165-page collection, published in 2016 by Black Corner Publications in Pakistan, features humorous poems addressing social issues.
