With the efforts of the ECO Cultural Institute, the Book "Paris Notebook" written by Master Qutbi Kiram, a folk poet of Tajikistan and winner of the Rudaki Literary Award, was unveiled at the ECO Cultural Institute in the presence of ambassadors, including Mr. Roberto J. Manalo, Honorable Ambassador of Philippine to Iran, and other scholars from the ECO member countries.
At the beginning of this ceremony which was held at the diplomatic Library of ECI, the Executive Director of ECI read the message of the President of ECI in which it was mentioned that: “the Book "Paris Notebook" is not only a poem of a poet, but it has presented just like several novels, the expression of subtle and poetic points.”
In continuation, Dr. Nizomiddin Zohidi, Honorable Ambassador of the Republic of Tajikistan to Iran, spoke about the poet and the significance of the Book of “Paris Notebook”.
The Ambassador of Tajikistan considered it a good omen to dedicate the first program of the "Akhtarane Adab", series of programs of the ECO Cultural Institute, to a Tajik poet. He said: "Qutbi Kiram is considered as one of the pioneers of poetry in contemporary Tajik literature just like Momin Qenaat, Laeeq Shirali, Bazar Saber, Golnazar, Golrokhsar, Askar Hakim and........... who play important role in the Tajik contemporary poetry. Tajik poetry is actually tied to the name of these famous poets and they have created a new life in improving the spiritual level of the society by writing epic, social, moral and love poems in Tajik literature. Qutbi Kiram had a literary activity in Tajik literature for about 40 years and contributed nearly 35 books to literature, including collections of poems, screenplays, dramas and short stories.
For many years, this poet has edited and prepared the works of Tajik Persian classical poets in Tajik Cyrillic letters.
In continuation of the meeting, Dr. Ali Asghar Sheardost, the former Ambassador of Iran to Tajikistan and the head of the Shahriaran Fine Arts Institute, talked about Qutbi Kiram and added: "This poet has received the title of “the national poet of the people of Tajikistan” because the truth of this nation with all its ups and downs has been reflected in his pen and poetry”.
During this ceremony, the film of the poetry reading of Master Qutbi Kiram and his celebration ceremony in his hometown and the speech of Professor Azarakhsh were broadcasted.
At the end of the ceremony, the Book of Paris Notebook which was published by Arvan Publication was unveiled.
