The ECO Cultural Institute strongly denies the news items carried in certain parts of the media claiming that in its annual calendar for 2025, an Iranian poet has been shown as a poet from another member state.
It is further clarified that no Calendar for 2025 has been approved or printed as yet by the ECO Cultural Institute.
The ECO Cultural Institute had contacted the esteemed governments of the ten member states of the Economic Cooperation Organization with the request to provide and confirm the name, picture and a few introductory sentences about their national poet to be carried in the Calendar.
Based on the input, that the ECI deeply appreciates and respects, received from the member states several formats of the calendars have been prepared internally for consideration by the member states and approval of one final design. So far no design has been finalized, nor any of the designs been approved for printing and distribution.
An unapproved PDF file, amongst one of the many files, was deliberately and with malicious intent, leaked to several social media groups. The ECI is investigating the culprits behind this criminal act and the person responsible shall be reported to the esteemed governments.
The ECI reiterates its pride in the fact that several poets of the region such as Nizami Ganjawi, Maulana Rumi, Allama Iqbal Lahori, Ustad Rudaki are owned and loved all across the E.C.O region and not just in one state. The ECI annual calendar honors all of them and introduces them to the wider world.
The final draft once printed will definitely reflect the consensus amongst the member nations and their peoples. The ECI’s objective is to promote love, friendship and better understanding amongst the peoples of the region and will not be part of any activity to create friction or to cause offense to any nation.
The ECI takes prides in, and salutes, the rich literary tradition of the Persian language and holds the poets such as Nizami Ganjavi and others in highest esteem. The ECI strongly condemns the false news about calendar 2025 which is still in design stage.

موسسه فرهنگی اکو در تهران، اخبار منتشره در برخی رسانهها مبنی بر اینکه این موسسه در تقویم سالانه 2025یک شاعر ایرانی را به عنوان شاعری از دیگر کشورهای عضو این موسسه معرفی نموده است، را به شدت تکذیب می کند. همچنین باید خاطر نشان کرد که هنوز تقویمی برای سال 2025توسط موسسه فرهنگی اکو تایید نشده و به چاپ نرسیده است.
مؤسسه فرهنگی اکو با دولتهای محترم ده کشور عضو سازمان همکاریهای اقتصادی اکو تماس گرفته بود تا نام، تصویر و چند جمله در مورد زادگاه شاعران ملی این کشورها را به موسسه ارائه دهند تا در تقویم 2025موسسه فرهنگی اکو درج گردد. بر اساس اطلاعاتی که در این خصوص از سوی کشورهای عضو دریافت شده است و موسسه فرهنگی اکو صمیمانه از تمامی اعضاء برای ارسال این اطلاعات تشکر و قدردانی می نماید، چندین طرح داخلی جهت بررسی بمنظور گزینش و تصویب یک طرح نهایی، به موسسه ارسال گردیده است. اما تاكنون هیچ طرحي نهایي نشده و همچنین طرحي براي چاپ و توزیع تایید نگردیده است.
متاسفانه در اقدامی عامدانه و مغرضانه یک فایل پیدیاف تایید نشده، از میان فایلهای متعدد در دسترس برخی رسانههای اجتماعی قرار گرفته است. موسسه فرهنگی اکو در حال رسیدگی به خاطیان این اقدام مجرمانه می باشد و فرد مسئول باید به دولتهای محترم عضو معرفی گردد. موسسه فرهنگی اکو با افتخار تصریح مینماید که بسیاری از شاعران این منطقه مانند نظامی گنجوی، مولانا رومی، علامه اقبال لاهوری و استاد رودکی مورد احترام و متعلق به تمامی کشورهای منطقه اکو و نه صرفا یک کشور، می باشند. تقویم سالانه این موسسه به همه این شاعران افتخار می کند و خواستار معرفی آنها به سایر کشورهای جهان می باشد.
چاپ پیش نویس نهایی این تقویم، قطعاً منعکس کننده توافق و اجماع بین کشورهای عضو خواهد بود.هدف موسسه فرهنگی اکو ترویج عشق، دوستی و تفاهم بهتر در بین مردم منطقه است و این نهاد هرگز وارد فعالیتی که منجر به کدورت وو یا توهین به هر ملتی گردد، نخواهد شد موسسه فرهنگی اکو به سنت غنی ادبی زبان فارسی می بالد و به آن ادای احترام می گذارد و برای شاعرانی چون نظامی گنجوی و دیگر شاعران پارسی زبان بسیار ارج می نهد. موسسه فرهنگی اکو اخبار نادرست در مورد تقویم 2025را که هنوز در مرحله طراحی است را به شدت محکوم می نماید.
