Remembering Iqbal: A Day of Reflection by ECI at Ahlulbayt University

On the 9th of November,2024, the ECO Cultural Institute (ECI) organized a special event at Ahlul Bayt University in Tehran to commemorate Allama Iqbal Day. The event was honoured by the presence of Dr. Saad Khan, President of ECI and Dr. Saeed Jazari, Vice Chancellor of the University.
The gathering saw enthusiastic participation from students, who delivered insightful speeches on the life and poetry of Allama Iqbal. Their presentations shed light on the profound impact of Iqbal’s work on the intellectual and cultural development of the Muslim world.
In his speech, Dr. Saad Khan highlighted the significance of Urdu as the most widely spoken language in the Muslim world, ranking number one among the five most spoken languages. He emphasized the need to take proactive steps to preserve and promote the Urdu language, recognizing its vital role as a unifying force for Muslims worldwide.
The event not only provided a platform to honour Allama Iqbal’s legacy but also played a pivotal role in strengthening ties between the students and the ECO Cultural Institute. Through this collaboration, ECI aims to engage students more deeply with cultural and intellectual movements within the region, encouraging them to become active participants in preserving and promoting cultural heritage.
